Background description

The research infrastructure (RI) FERMILAB‑CZ supports the membership of Czech research institutions in Fermilab's experiments by providing services needed by individual experiments. Czech research institutions are members of Fermilab's experiments D0, NOvA and DUNE. The RI consists of experiments on which Czech physicists collaborate at Fermilab and infrastructures of the Czech collaborating institutions. Our infrastructure provides a computing farm and technical and electronics laboratory at FZU, cluster for artificial intelligence and neural networks algorithms at UI, numerical and statistical computing servers at CVUT and computing farm at MFF.

The research infrastructure is listed in the roadmap of the big Czech Republic infrastructures for research, experimental development and innovations as Tevatron-Fermilab.
